With their cuteness and friendly dispositions, Labradoodles get a lot of attention. The Labradoodle is what’s referred to as a crossbreed dog since it’s literally a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle. The Labradoodle became Labradoodlepopular about 20 years ago. Labradoodles are known for their intellect, peaceful demeanor, friendliness, and outgoingness. These cuties are great family pet. Labradoodles are easy to train due to their intelligence and eagerness.

Expect to exercise your Labradoodle at least 45-60 minutes a day. This can include walks with your dog as well as games around the house. Labradoodles love to swim, which is also a great exercise for them. In addition to physical exercise, Labradoodles require mental stimulation due to their high intelligence. Regularly teaching your dog new tricks and commands will help stave off his boredom.

Labradoodles very in weigh depending on the size of poodle used. On the smaller size, bread with miniature poodle, they weigh about 15 to 30 pounds. Those Labradoodles bread with a standard poodle can weigh up to 65 pounds or more. This dog’s hair can range from stiff to soft and can be straight, have some waviness, or even be very curly. Because of the variations in parents, Labradoodles may be very different from on another. Labradoodles can vary in color, appearance, size, and even temperament.

Labradoodles don’t require frequent bathing, but they do require regular brushing. You should plan to brush your Labradoodle with a slicker brush daily, or at least every other day. Labradoodles coats can be very prone to matting even after just a short time of neglect. Always make sure to establish a grooming routine with your pal. If your dog has excessive hair growth around his eyes, make sure to trim him. Your dogs’ vision should never be impeded.

For the most part, Labradoodles are pretty healthy. Like most flap-eared dogs, ear infections are common in Labradoodles so you will need to make sure to check your dog’s ears weekly. Like many larger dogs, Labradoodles can be prone to hip and elbow dysplasia. Other diseases that could affect your Labradoodle include allergies, diabetes, or even glandular disorders.
