The Bulldog. Weighing in between 45-55 pounds, the bulldog is the perfect size for any household. This unique looking dog will bring happiness to any family. Bulldogs are sturdy so if you have kids that like to roughhouse, this guy is perfect. Bulldogs are often described as loyal and friendly, they love all people. It has been said that Bulldogs are almost empathic: they are happy when you are, or try to comfort you when you’re sad. These pups are fairly low energy and won’t require much exercise.

The Beagle. The beagle is medium sized dog ranging from 20-25 pounds, small enough to carry around. These adorable dogs are wonderful additions to families with kids. Beagles are excellent with children and are extremely playful. These guys tend to have a great amount of energy and will require attention and lots of play. The Labrador Retriever. Like the Bulldog, Labs are very sturdy and can handle any type of play with kids. The Lab is a large dog, sometimes reaching up to 80 pounds. These dogs are incredibly smart and easy to train. They are patient, loving and playful. Like the Beagle, Labs are very active dogs. These high energy dogs will require daily exercise and lots of play time. Labs are great family dogs.

The Poodle. Standard Poodles are very gentle dogs which makes them excellent dogs for kids. Poodles are excellent family dogs and tend to bond quickly with their owners. Poodles are very trainable, learning commands and tricks quite easily. The standard poodle can weigh up to 68 pounds but they are surprisingly agile for their size. Poodles have a great disposition and love spending time with their family. If you’re looking for an affectionate family dog, consider a Poodle.

The Golden Retriever. Golden Retrievers are a large breed dog ranging from 60-75 pounds. Golden retrievers are incredible athletic and can play for hours. If you love throwing the ball or playing hide and seek, this fluff ball is perfect for you. Golden Retrievers are very energetic and playful with little to no behavior problems. These guys are sensitive to their owners needs and feelings; they just want to make you happy. High intelligent combined with eagerness to please make Golden Retrievers very easy to train.
